Naimish joins General Catalyst from Sycamore Networks, where he was Chief Technology Officer and one of the 4 founding team members. He was responsible for aligning Sycamore’s technology and product strategy with global service providers as they plan and deploy intelligent optical networks. Prior to joining Sycamore, Naimish was chief architect at Digital Equipment Corp., where he led the development of a next-generation high-capacity IP switch/router. Naimish also worked at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, where he researched all-optical switching technology for 100 Gbps high-speed optical TDM networks.
Naimish holds BS, MS, and MEng degrees in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and is the holder of 18 patents.
