Ken is a special adviser to General Catalyst Partners and its portfolio companies. Ken serves on the boards of three of the firm’s portfolio companies, BBN Technologies, Prematics and Health Insight Technologies, for which he is Chairman..

Ken retired as Vice Chairman of Time Warner (NYSE:TWX) in 2003. As vice chairman of America Online (AOL), and then Time Warner, Ken provided strategic counsel, handled special assignments for the Chairman, and assumed a leading role in major corporate transactions. In addition to his other corporate responsibilities, Ken had responsibility for AOL’s venture investments, and was a key architect of the merger between AOL and Time Warner.

Before joining AOL in 1998, Ken was their outside counsel as a senior partner at the law firm Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo. As a corporate and securities lawyer, Ken was counsel and an advisor to entrepreneurs and venture-backed technology and life sciences companies, venture capital firms and investment bankers. He is currently Senior Counsel at Mintz Levin.

Ken continues to serve as a director at Time Warner and he is a member of the boards of Appleton Partners, Leerink Swann, Paratek Pharmaceuticals, and ChoiceStream. He is an advisory director of Gordon Brothers Group. Ken is Trustee Emeritus and Vice Chairman of Tufts Medical Center and Boston’s Museum of Science.

Ken is a graduate of Dartmouth College and Harvard Law School.
