Founded in 2006, Stion is a solar photovolatics company based in Menlo Park, CA which is developing high-efficiency thin-film modules using proprietary materials. Stion's goal is to minimize the total installed system cost of solar electricity by reducing the number of panels required to power a given installation, as well as area-dependent "balance of system costs" such as labor and wiring.
